DESCRIPTION
Center for Environmental Studies and Disaster Management of Ahmad Dahlan University (CESDM-ADU) is a center in conducting research , training and service in the field of environmental and natural disaster.

VISION AND MISSION
The vision is to become a center for the study who has the ability in the development of science and technology as well as in the field of environmental and natural disaster based on Islamic values ​​.

The mission are :

Conducting research in the field of environment and natural disaster .
Conducting training to improve the quality of human resources in the field of environment and natural disaster .
Provide and coordinate humanitarian services for tackling the dangers and risks of environmental damage due to natural disasters.

RESEARCH
Studies that have been done was Analisys of Food Requirenment for the Merapi Mountainside Community . This study will be continued in the form of action research that is multi-year outcomes to empower people who lives at Merapi mountainside. The theme will be carried is Participatory Action Research on Merapi Mountainside Community Development .

TRAINING
CESDM-ADU will organize trainings of Environment and Disaster Management. Activities to be implemented in the near future is the training for ADU faculty and students in the field of disaster. Training will be cooperated with the Institute for Disaster Management of Muhammadiyah Head Office, as well as in the framework of the establishment of the ADU Task Force Disaster .
